Creating passive income online is the holy grail of moneymaking. Why would you want to go out every day and get paid for the hours in which you work when you have the opportunity to put in the initial work, and then get paid for it over and over again? Many people are doing exactly this right now, and are bringing in large sums to their bank account without even having to work for it.

So who exactly are these people? How is it possible to make money online that will be passive and will continue to be paid to you regardless of whether you are working? Well, there are many ways of doing this through the wonderful power of the Internet. Let’s take a look at a couple of options.

The first option would simply be to make money blogging. Of course, it is easy to say this, and a lot harder to put it into practice. The vast majority of people will not have any idea what a blog is, let alone how to create one and actually end up making money from it. However, if you have the necessary creative strengths and the ability to build a fresh, inventive, and interesting blog, there is no reason why you should not start to make money through blogging.

It is the initial work that counts, and once the blog has been setup, and a large following created, it is certainly possible to start making money through the blog with minimal efforts. It may not be something that anyone can do, but if you have the necessary skills, it is certainly a fantastic way of making some part-time, or even full-time income, and passive income that.

So, blogging is not going to be fair everyone, and does require certain levels of technical and creative skill. However, network marketing does not, and is something that is far more widely practised with success. If you find yourself to be a confident, persistent, driven, and determined person, then network marketing may well be for you.

Through network marketing you can sell the products of a company, and gain commissions for doing so. However, the way in which you can make passive income through network marketing is through the creation of a large team of distributors to work beneath you. Their actions will also gain you commissions, and as such if you’re able to create a large enough team, you will be able to see income flow to your account through their actions and not your own.

These are just two of the most common ways of creating passive income through the power of the Internet.

You Can Make Money Blogging for Dollars

Money

The idea of blogging for dollars has become increasingly popular among people who own and operate blogs. What used to be an innocent hobby has become a profitable activity, so much so that some bloggers have began working full-time on their blogs.

Blogging for dollars is relatively easy, requiring no special skills and talent aside from a passion and commitment for a certain topic or subject. You don’t need a college degree to start blogging for dollars. Anyone with an expertise on a specific subject can create their own blog and start making money blogging.

Know What to Blog About

Before you start blogging, it’s imperative to be familiar with what to blog about. It could be a topic that you know very well and in which you have the passion and commitment to write about it. It would be a bad idea to blog about something that you have no interest or knowledge in just because it is very popular. If you don’t know how to cook a complete meal, it makes no sense to start a blog about Italian cuisine.

Find an interest, hobby or activity that you love to do, then blog about it. It doesn’t matter how popular or how obscure the topic is, as long as you have the passion and interest to write about the subject.

Build a Blog and They Will Come

It’s very easy to create a blog nowadays, thanks to blog publishing platforms like Blogger. There are essentially two major types of blogs – the remotely hosted blogs such as those published using Blogger and LiveJournal, and the self-installed blogs using software like Wordpress and MovableType.

Which type of blog should you choose? Each type of blog has its own advantages and disadvantages, so choosing your blog depends on your own preferences. If you want a personal blog and you want blogging to be as easy as possible, then have your blog hosted remotely. But if you want a more professional-looking blog with a lot of features, create your blog using a software like Wordpress, hosted on your own web server. It is quite interesting to learn how to set up a blog.

Monetizing Your Blog

When you see that your blog already has a loyal readership, you can start placing ads, affiliate links and other income streams on your blog. The most popular sources of income for bloggers are:

Marketing programs (Google Adsense, Chitika, Adbrite, etc.)
•           Pay-per-post programs (PayPerPost, ReviewMe, Blogitive, etc.)
•           Affiliate programs (Amazon, CommissionJunction, Linkshare, etc.)
•           Donations and tip jars
•           Selling ad space and sponsorships

There are so many ways you can make money from blogging, and so many websites and companies offering cash to bloggers, that it would be wise to select only a few that provides maximum income generation. Build a blog, add good content, and you will soon be blogging for dollars.

You would think that with the current recession and so much job in-security people wouldn’t be spending money but that just not the case. Well not as far as their needs and even their hobbies. People have to have distractions.

In my lifetime I have been through a few recessions. We always seemed to get fed and clothed. But what I didn’t think about until many years later is that people didn’t give up their hobbies. Well not the people I know anyways.

Knowing this means you can make money online, even in a recession.

Do What You Love To Do, We Do

I know from personal experience that people with hobbies, such as myself, still manage to keep enjoying them, even during a recession. I have many friends that enjoy the same hobbies I do and guess what, they spend money on their hobbies too. Maybe not as much as in a good year but they still spend.

Knowing what people spend money on, even in bad times, is vital to your making money online.

As a fisher I know what I need to keep my hobby going year after year and it’s pretty much the same with most fishers. So sharing my experiences and pointing out the best places to get deals for fishing supplies makes me money because I send them to affiliate sites where I am a member.

Fishing is just one hobby but it covers so many niches that I felt it necessary to have 5 or so fishing related blogs.

Know People’s Needs & Desires

Fishing is just one example of how you could make money online. I have been fishing long enough to know what people need for fishing but also that we fishers have big desires. This gives you an edge, a big edge.

Note: When I started my first fishing blog I made it local by using the name of my province and city so that I would be found in the search engines when other fishers looked up something for my location in a search engine. It works because people like to buy or hear about things locally plus you have less competition than if you just went global.

Another example: Gardening

Gardening has become a huge hobby and is growing larger every year. We can thank the recession for this one I think. We found that we could grow so much food that we saved money. Well that’s worth sharing isn’t? And we did and make money doing it.

Well, if you sit down and thin about it I am sure you can come up with something you know about that you could share online locally and start making money. Remember I said that you want to only blog about things that people still spend money on, even in a recession. That’s important to remember.

Work At Home Part Time And Grow Your Business

Don’t quit your day job but do start something in your spare time. Even an hour or two a week is a start. I started like that but in no time I was addicted. Why, because people started buying things I talked about.

I have a lot of blogs on the go at the moment and spend a fair bit of time creating content but I can’t create content for them all. I didn’t start working from home to work 80 hour weeks. I don’t mind working a 7 hour day 5 days a week.

How do I do it. Well I buy some of my content so that I have unique content. I also get PLR articles, private label rights articles and modify them to make them unique. That takes much less time that starting from scratch.

I also periodically have others write topic related posts for my, allowing the author to link back to their own related site. This gives me more unique content and they get a relevant backlink to their site. Win-win.

So you can work and make money in your spare time working up to a full time blogging career or what ever level you wish. I personally went for the full time income and work from home full time. I did quit my day job.

Making money blogging is such a hot prospect these days and for those who’ve made such prospect into reality, they’ve only got good things to say. But aside from telling the world how possible making money from blogs is, they also usually say they’re beholden to search engines.

For example, Google, which is currently the world’s most powerful Internet search engine there is, started out as a site where people could type in a line or a word or to pertaining to the topic they want to research on. In just seconds, the engine goes through its millions of web pages and serves the user with the best ones that its search spiders have picked out based on the words entered by the searcher into the search box.

If you’re considering making money with blogs, Google is something you should master, particularly the ways it indexes pages. If you want your blog to earn you more money, you’ve got to make it perform well on Google Search Engine Ranking Pages or SERPs. Of course, if you want your blog to gain profit, you have to make it visible on the web where it’s supposed to thrive.

There can be many other ways to achieve this visibility but it can’t be denied that Google can be the most powerful because it can actually promote your blog to all Internet users. Definitely, you’re going to need that if you’re going to get the cash rolling in.

As a problogger or professional blogger-to-be, you need to educate yourself on the rules that the search giant goes by when ranking web pages.

First off, you need keywords. Keywords are used by the search spiders to detect what a site or page is all about. When you don’t use keywords or don’t use them consistently, there’s a tendency for these spiders to be confused. But when a page has keywords consistently used and spaced reasonably within the content, search spiders have a very easy way of indexing the page when an Internet user searches for a topic relevant to such keywords.

This is why some pages make it to the first page of SERPs and some simply don’t. In other words, keywords play a major role in determining your moneymaking blog’s success. Of course, these keywords have to be arranged within your blog in a way that makes sense.

Spiders have become more intelligent these days and they know when such keywords are meant only for SEO purposes and not for giving sincere information to readers. This is why you also need to maintain good quality posts. And you definitely need to update your blog often because spiders also know how to detect fresh blogs which are always, of course, what readers want.

So if you want to make money blogging, make your blog search engine-friendly. How to blog may be the first question you’ll ask when you’re in the planning stage of developing a blog but the more significant challenge lies in how to make your blog worthy enough of earning money through your readers’ loyalty as keep publishing posts.

Tools To Help You Achieve Blogging Profit

Blogging for income is not an easy task. It takes quite a bit of time and dedication. Blogging changes constantly. Blog readers’ expectations also change on a regular basis. What used to be an electronic public journal entry has these days become much more. It is now something that is feature-rich that a viewer has become accustomed to and if your blog doesn’t have the latest technology, it could get passed over and thus will bring in little income.

This is where many tools come in handy. They will help you keep your blog full of all the most current technology without requiring you to be a computer geek.

There are programs that can help you create new blogs quickly. They are called blog editors. An editor can help you post to several blogs and help you manager the existing ones. This type of program also enables you to format your blog to keep the style of your blogs consistent. And of course there are all the pictures and multimedia that are required in the world of blogging today. A great editor can help you upload these elements so that it will look the way you intended it to.

Blog editor software programs will also help you with moderating your blog activity. Allowing individuals to post comments on your blog can have a significant effect on your fan base and your blog traffic. Unfortunately, you also can attract certain individuals that want to post nasty or crude comments and you have to be able to edit those bad boys out. So be certain your editor has a feature for you to moderate your blog.

Another must is subscribing to RSS feeds from other websites. These can be news sites, other people’s blogs, or sites of interest that you can draw information from. Subscribing to the feeds can give you an continual flow of information that you can write about. You won’t have to waste your time searching the internet looking for topics to write about…they’ll be right at your fingertips. This is extremely useful for bloggers who blog about popular topics such as news and current events. Just like a news room has a ongoing stream of information, so will you.

You have your blog up and going. It is looking good and it is replete with all the recent features. However, do you even know who is looking at it? Do you know how many individuals are looking at it? How long are they staying on the site and when are they on it and what are they viewing and doing? These types of questions are critical to get the answers to in order to make certain that you are receiving the traffic you want. A way to collect and analyze your visitor stats is something you definitely need.

Blogging for profit can be very profitable but it also requires time and dedication to the task set before you. It also requires constant research using software such as James Jones’ Micro Niche Finder in order to increase your traffic from the search engines. If you commit yourself to seeing through the difficult and discouraging times you’ll find that eventually you’re persistence will pay off.
