Traffic circle on Pine Street, Boulder Colorado

If you want to increase traffic to your business website you need to learn how to generate it. Now, before you employ online marketing techniques like using backlinks tool and other online marketing solutions, here are some things you need to consider. A short term solution is to pay for traffic, but the costs vary between a few cents and a dollar per hit, and the problem is that on the long run, such practices are not efficient at all. You could actually do more harm than good to your company by using paid traffic. The contract with these services prompts you to display pop up windows, and that may not be part of your plan.

Very many Internet users have anti-virus programs and fire walls that prevent pop up windows from opening up. Therefore, you can lose lots of users like this. And on the few viewers, the pop up windows may  have a really negative impact. Try to generate traffic on your own, without such aids, because traffic purchases seldom work. Only diligent work will take you there.

Search engines bring you the most relevant traffic you can think of. Satisfy SEO requirements in order to improve the ranking. With high page ranks and first displays on search engine result pages, you increase traffic automatically and naturally, without having to pay for it. The best thing to do is try and implement methods on your own as professional services would only siphon funds away and make it impossible to upkeep the website.

The first reaction to my DIY suggestion is that you don’t qualify for it. Getting educated in search engine strategies should be a first objective for every marketer. You should learn how to increase traffic and maintain it step by step, discovering major strategies, providing quality content and keeping updated with the latest trends for web promotion. Google offers most of the tools that help you increase traffic and perform search engine optimization. Get training, read and do some tutorials and then improve your online marketing knowledge at all times.

Mention must be made that the efficiency of the tactics (such as using backlinks tool, backlink finder, etc.) used to increase traffic differ from case to case. Online marketing solutions should be chosen in accordance with the business individuality, because what works for one business is ineffective for another one. These being said, I wish you good luck and plenty of courage to launch and continue in web promotion successfully!

Do Reciprocal Link Exchanges Work?

A broad metal chain.
Image via Wikipedia

Trading back links function like this. You have to put your link to your site on someone else’s site and they will then be able to put their website link on your site. It is a link swap. But, there has been loads of controversy about these types of links.

Do they work to help improve your ranking in the search engines? Do they harm your page ranking? should you even trouble yourself by taking part in them? To answer these questions, lets take a moment to think of both sides of the situation. When it comes to the final results, for most website owners, is the fact that they are capable of aiding you.

A couple reasons why mutual links may not be helpful. When reciprocal links first began to be used, it was a exchange between one site owner and another. If you were skillful in the home decorating business, for instance, it would be rewarding to join with and get a link to a company that provides windows. You both would benefit from trading links.

When they started out and the website owners utilized this theory, they found that their websites did in reality rank there sites better. In point of fact, it worked so good  that they went out and searched for more and more link exchanges.

And because of this lies the trouble. Instead of doing work with other web masters to build a professional relationship and build a reciprocal link that rewarded both sites, many website developers realized that they could purchase  these links instead.

And now, they didn’t need to go to the difficulty of luring in those that they would like to get links from, rather, they could just purchase them. Okay, this isn’t such a bad thing, right? The trouble was that site owners were buying and utilizing thousands of reciprocal links for their web page. This is entirely unnatural and it simply didn’t work out good for them.

But why did it change? The search engine algorithm’s soon became wise to this scheme of how to get your website to rank higher. So the major search engines built programs that would spot this technique and the fact that individuals that were utilizing this huge amount of reciprocal links in this manner, were ranked WORSE!

Very densely built-up areas require high capac...

One of the most difficult, but key components of the Internet marketing process is to design your website to achieve the goals you have set for your business.  But this critical step is usually the one business people skip, or just leave it to their web designer to consider, which can be even more damaging to their overall goals.

By strategically planning your new website or an update of your existing website, you will ensure you have a marketing piece that showcases your business to its best, allows you to be in control of ongoing content updates, and achieves the goals you have set for your business.  Below are a number of steps to follow while planning your new website:

1.  Create a list of anything your website visitors will want to know about the product or service you are offering.  If you are planning a website for a school, for example, the visitors would be interested in how man students attend, classroom sizes, staff information and sports offered.  Try to list every possible topic about your industry, service or product that a visitor to your new website might be interested in knowing.

2.  Imagine for a short time that you are a potential website customer.  Visit and review some websites similar to the one you will offer as if you were a potential customer.  As a potential customer, what are the things you like and dislike about each website you visit?  Does the website inspire you to take further action?  Can you find what you are looking for fast? How many different pages do you have to click through to find what you want?  Note all this data down with the intent of making your new website as easy for your visitors to use as possible.

3.  Investigate to find out the keywords your visitors will most likely search for to find your website. Google has a free keyword research tool that will work fine for this purpose.  Type in a general phrase such as “high school” and see what other keywords come up.  These are the topics that people are searching for already.  With this information in hand, you can plan your website to feature content that answers people’s questions.

4.  Make sure to plan your website to grow.  Don’t be lured into a website format that won’t let you expand easily to add new content pages or products.  You will find that building a great website is a constant work in progress.

5.  Finally, make sure your website is easy to control, so you don’t have to rely on your website designer to make even the smallest changes.   Today’s dynamic Internet marketing environment demands new and fresh content added to your website often, and the old fashioned sites that rely on a web developer to make changes just won’t work anymore.  You need a website platform that will allow you to add website content fast and simply.

Usually, a new website is one of your business’ largest expenses.  Don’t waste it with an inferior website that doesn’t support your business objectives.

Many people see the potential of the web to generate income on auto pilot . The stories sound very simple to implement, but these guys often(as in most of the time) leave out a major portion of their success. They do not tell you how many sites they have working with their method, and they do not tell you how many people they have either outsourcing work or actually working for them to accomplish this.

Think about it – people showing evidence they make 30k, 40k in a single month on the web are NOT doing that with 1 or 2 sites, or by placing a few ads, or by building a few links a day. They very often have web sites numbering in the hundreds that they built up with a team of people helping them.

Given that this is occurring, what are new marketers supposed to do, as everyone has to start somewhere. What needs to be done is to not have unrealistic expectations of earnings and make efficient use of your time. I will share with you a secret to get your site jump started with traffic and ranking for multiple keywords on autopilot.  You can use social bookmarking, an article directory, forum and blog posting – whatever you are best at to build links to your site with this method

This can be started by using the Google keywords tool, or any other software tool of your choice Type in your main keyword and then find related keywords automatically. You want a list of about 200 or so keywords so you can sort through them by searches per month. Sift through this list and pick about 5 top keywords with about 2500-5000 searches per month, and then pick an additional 10 with 1000 or less searches per month, ideally with 4 words in the keyword (long tail).

The regular method most people use is to pick high traffic keywords to build up in hopes you could really get a lot of traffic to your site. This is backward from the way it actually works. While it makes sense that high traffic keywords are great, they are often very difficult to get ranked for and take a ton of effort and time to work on. The real secret to big traffic is to completely ignore the high traffic keywords and work on the long tail ones exclusively. While it seems counter intuitive to do this, it will set your site up for big traffic.

These keywords will be much easier to rank for, and you are shooting for the top 20 on all of them. Once you have this done, you should see some nice traffic. Now is when you start on the top 4 or 5 from your list earlier. It will be far, far easier to rank for them now, as Google will give your site more credence because of the other work you have done. Because you worked on the other keywords first, the amount of work required to rank for these other words is probably cut in half.

Online Article Marketing Strategy

David Wood is by far the most inspirational, spirited and talented individual that I have ever encountered. ‘Oh to touch the hem of his garment’ – well maybe not quite, but when it comes to mlm David has certainly got it nailed down to an art and for sure there is a very specific method of mlm recruiting in order to be a top producer. Like a lot of us David struggled for a long time trying to create his downline using conventional methods. Can I just say at this point to clarify that there is indeed a place for offline mlm marketing despite the people who say ‘offline mlm’ is dead.

After a year and a half of living off of his dwindling residual income he drew a line in the sand and turned to the internet to market his mlm. David was flat broke, he had hit rock bottom and was asking the question ‘where will the next meal come from? 5 months on it’s a very different story, he gets nearly 100 leads every day for free through his website and has earned commissions in excess of £100K but now he enjoys a beach at his front door in Costa Rica from where he now works his worldwide business. He has achieved some great things! Not a dime was spent on promotion & advertising either. I hear you ask ‘how the heck did he do that?’.

To get a massive amount of traffic David Wood uses article and content marketing and you will be well aware like myself that big traffic means big lead flow. Using some simple online article marketing strategies and using videos you can over time dominate the search engines for your niche market. It’s been fun to watch David’s alexa ranking climb to 28,500, an accomplishment indeed in such a short space of time!.

You need to be writing good quality compelling content for this to have maximum effect. You want to give your readers good useful content and you also need to drive them to take action and click your link in the author resource box, take some time to do this properly and you will enjoy a steady flow of visitors to your websites. Equally important is the backlinks that you will build to your website, this will increase your site ranking to Google page 1 over time. It is very important to be regular in this strategy. When you have posted your article you then need to distribute it to some of the popular directories to get exposure, plus you should consider creating videos to promote your content so that you reach more people. There is also another little known method that will blast your rankings through the roof. There is more about this in the resource box.

There is no doubt about it that if you have a limited budget for marketing then content marketing is the way to go, but be warned it’s no free lunch! For sure you will need to invest your time into this strategy but the results will warrant the effort, check out the amount of traffic David gets, you will see what I mean. Please ensure that content that you create is not copied from someone else and is 100% your creation. By putting your own spin on things you will get much better results and attract more qualified leads to you. You will have far more success. By the way David Wood got these phenomenal results for 2 websites, not just one!

This analysis of the online marketing article strategy used by David Wood scratches the face of the authority of content marketing, to get free of charge access today to a 76 minute recorded webinar which will show you EXACTLY how to employ ALL of David’s article marketing secrets PLUS the little known secret to blasting your Google placement through the roof subscribe by clicking the link now!
