Buzz Marketing requires an in-depth knowledge of the mannerisms, expectations, and culture of your potential customer base. Pursuing the creation of buzz marketing campaigns requires the rapid generation of themed content and materials that will penetrate the collective conscious of your audience.

Once your web site becomes part of an overall marketing phenomenon, you can rely on a short-term surge in web site traffic and customer interest so long as the ‘buzz’ continues to roll.

A marketing ‘buzz’ relates to the rapid proliferation of interest amongst a customer base regarding a particular genre or meme. When customers feel enfranchised by a buzz, relating your product or service to it can generate considerable interest and/or revenue..

However, finding a legitimate association and marketing it effectively takes creativity and ingenuity.

First, research the origination and nature of the ‘buzz’ you wish to pursue. If it is directly correlated to your business, it should be easy to find a way to link your new buzz marketing campaign to the overarching phenomenon.

If the ‘buzz’ surrounds a method of video, web site, or sound production, you can simply factor this method into your new campaign in order to generate new interest.

When the ‘buzz’ relates to a cultural phenomenon or national event, you can expect a certain level of skepticism to manifest itself amongst your audience if your presentation is only loosely related..

Take heed to generate a plan of action that creates marketing materials with a genuine association to the “buzz.” Otherwise, you may experience a backlash from your consumers or fail to maximize your results..

Plus, buzz marketing is usually oriented into the short-term of your customers conscious. Just make sure your campaign does not take too long itself and last longer than the level of interest generated by the buzz.

Instituting the campaign during the peak periods of buzz interest and then gracefully bowing out of the market of ideas before your competitors clue-in to the buzzs descent can make all the difference in your level of success.

Buzz marketing is a new and effective way to attach your web site to a wider phenomenon.. If I were you, start brainstorming effective buzz marketing today. Whatever you do, just make sure that your visitors have an easy way of ‘telling their friends’ as this is the quickest way of creating a buzz.

Internet Marketing – A Few Truths

The Great Stour River in the city centre
Image via Wikipedia

If you market on the Internet, or are thinking about marketing on the Internet, then there are a few home truths that you probably need to know about..

The Internet Marketing Game Keeps Changing

For a couple of main reasons, the game will keep on changing. Get used to it. Google will keep changing it’s ranking algorithm and so does gaining web traffic. One, to keep the scammers at bay. Two, to protect their AdWords revenue.. They know that if their algorithm becomes too easy to crack, TOO permanent, then BILLIONS of dollars will be switched from PPC (Spent with Google) to Top SEO Services (Spent with other people).

Google is the Only Game in Town (For Now)

Google controls around 60% of the search market. So if you don’t have a strong spot in Google then you have lost a big share of the market. They also have such market charisma that they make you sign ‘agreements’ like ‘Google reserves the right to do anything it wants and you can’t do anything about it’ (or words to that effect). They don’t really care what happens to their customers, they are just looking after their own interests. Get used to it.

Internet Marketing Information is Like Fresh Fruit

The market is changing that quickly, internet marketing information gets old very quickly. Yes, there are pieces of advice that will let your ‘ fruit ‘ stay ripe for years ( building a list or having a professional website design, but a lot has a shelf life of literally months. Buyer beware. Do not buy mouldy bananas.

People Do Not Share Their Recipe For Gold For $47

They might share a lot of valid, solid information, but they will not share the recipe for gold with you for $47.00!! If the claims people make sound unrealistic or sound too good to be true, then they probably are. (Please note that any recommendations I make on this site means I have purchased and tested the product and found the product to be worth it’s money. Read the product review on Alvin Phangs Atomic Blogging, for example).

Do not purchase Internet Marketing products based on any earnings claim, as you will find them to be, in the main, wildly exaggerated.

You will also find that the time or resources needed to achieve such results are quietly underestimated.. Instead, value the purchase based on YOUR time. How long would it take you to find the equivalent information for free? How much will it cost YOU if you get and follow the WRONG information? If you don’t have the right blueprint to follow?

Last, there’s a lot to learn and you can easily be distracted, darting from this place to that in the search for something that does not existl. My advice is to focus on just and I mean only ONE aspect of Internet Marketing (list building for example), conquer that and then move on..

Other pieces of advice include Keep your focus. Have determination. Do not accept failure. Read only the latest information, preferably a source that is updated DAILY. Be accepting of change. Change is inherent with Internet Marketing, so. So stop whining and get used to it.

What is Internet Marketing?

Internet marketing is a way of selling your products and/or services over the internet by using a variety of methods to get people to come to your website and then make a purchase. There are many techniques and methods that are used in internet marketing today to create interest in a particular website and encourage customer to make a purchase. This article will offer the top three internet marketing strategies and a brief description of each:

1. SEO-Search Engine Optimization: This is the art and science of achieving a high search engine ranking which is one of the major ways that people find a website to do business with. The higher your search engine ranking, the more you are to get people to your website. There are many ways to improve your SEO and even some of the other internet marketing methods, while doing so indirectly, in the end are increasing your search engine ranking.

One of the major components of SEO is the content that is on your website. There needs to be certain keywords used and repeated in a particular frequency in order to attract a high ranking for those terms. High quality articles can be purchased in your niche that will accomplish this nicely. Other things such as your page titles and navigation can also play a role in your SEO.

2. Article Marketing: This is a relatively new internet marketing technique that involves writing articles on a subject matter that is pertinent to your products or services and having them posted on hundreds of other websites around the internet all with links back to your main website. This works in two different ways: one, by getting your information and link in front of a lot more people and two, when your link shows up on multiple websites it increases your search engine ranking.

3. eBooks and other offers/list building: Another internet marketing technique is to use a free eBook or other free offer to build your list. The thinking is that if people are interested in your offer, which will relate to your products or services, they are likely customers. So, you have an opt-in form on your website that captures the name, email address and any other information you wish before giving the person their free gift. As you build your list you are creating a targeted group of potential customers to share your advertising with which is more cost-effective than just throwing it out among the masses.

And there you have the top three internet marketing strategies. Using these methods takes time to perfect and you may be wise to hire some help, at least in the beginning, so you can get your business to a running start. Internet marketing is highly effective when done properly and has created numerous millionaires in the last decade or so.

By now just about everybody knows how vital having your website search engine optimized is to your internet marketing success, right? Well, once you have completed that task you might think your internet marketing campaign is complete, but you are just getting started. There are many things you can do to boost your search engine rankings off of your site that will lead people back to your site. This is the double bonus of using backlinks to promote your website. A person can happen across your link before they even thought about your product and the more links out on the net that link back to you, the higher your search engine ranking.

Getting your links on other pages on the internet can happen in a couple of different ways. For one thing, you can do a link exchange or join a link exchange program. These work by trading links with other websites. It’s kind of a “you scratch my back and I’ll scratch yours” approach, where everybody wins. With a link exchange program, your links get rotated on different sites and theirs on yours, kind of the same thing, but with a wider audience.

Another way to use links is through article marketing. The cool thing about article marketing is that it also uses keywords and can indirectly influence customers to buy your products and then there is a handy link right to your site at the end. So, for instance, if you sell a particular brand of anti-sweat sport socks you could have articles out on directories about anti-sweat sport socks. The articles would not mention your specific company, so they come across as being informative and impartial. Then at the bottom of the article, when the customer is convinced they need anti-sweat sport socks, they find a link to your website so they can make a purchase. All that and increased search engine rankings, too? You gotta love it.

Another great way to introduce your links to the internet is through forum posts. In the above example you might join runner’s forums and then if someone is posting about sweaty feet—viola you post an answer about anti-sweat sport socks and conveniently include a link to your site. It is highly important that your posts are well thought out and truly are designed to answer the question being asked without sounding like a sales pitch.

There are other ways to get your links out on the web, too, such as blog post comments and more. But, the point is that you should be making tactics like these a regular part of your internet marketing campaign in order to drive more traffic to your site and increase your search engine rankings as well.
