You would think that with the current recession and so much job in-security people wouldn’t be spending money but that just not the case. Well not as far as their needs and even their hobbies. People have to have distractions.

In my lifetime I have been through a few recessions. We always seemed to get fed and clothed. But what I didn’t think about until many years later is that people didn’t give up their hobbies. Well not the people I know anyways.

Knowing this means you can make money online, even in a recession.

Do What You Love To Do, We Do

I know from personal experience that people with hobbies, such as myself, still manage to keep enjoying them, even during a recession. I have many friends that enjoy the same hobbies I do and guess what, they spend money on their hobbies too. Maybe not as much as in a good year but they still spend.

Knowing what people spend money on, even in bad times, is vital to your making money online.

As a fisher I know what I need to keep my hobby going year after year and it’s pretty much the same with most fishers. So sharing my experiences and pointing out the best places to get deals for fishing supplies makes me money because I send them to affiliate sites where I am a member.

Fishing is just one hobby but it covers so many niches that I felt it necessary to have 5 or so fishing related blogs.

Know People’s Needs & Desires

Fishing is just one example of how you could make money online. I have been fishing long enough to know what people need for fishing but also that we fishers have big desires. This gives you an edge, a big edge.

Note: When I started my first fishing blog I made it local by using the name of my province and city so that I would be found in the search engines when other fishers looked up something for my location in a search engine. It works because people like to buy or hear about things locally plus you have less competition than if you just went global.

Another example: Gardening

Gardening has become a huge hobby and is growing larger every year. We can thank the recession for this one I think. We found that we could grow so much food that we saved money. Well that’s worth sharing isn’t? And we did and make money doing it.

Well, if you sit down and thin about it I am sure you can come up with something you know about that you could share online locally and start making money. Remember I said that you want to only blog about things that people still spend money on, even in a recession. That’s important to remember.

Work At Home Part Time And Grow Your Business

Don’t quit your day job but do start something in your spare time. Even an hour or two a week is a start. I started like that but in no time I was addicted. Why, because people started buying things I talked about.

I have a lot of blogs on the go at the moment and spend a fair bit of time creating content but I can’t create content for them all. I didn’t start working from home to work 80 hour weeks. I don’t mind working a 7 hour day 5 days a week.

How do I do it. Well I buy some of my content so that I have unique content. I also get PLR articles, private label rights articles and modify them to make them unique. That takes much less time that starting from scratch.

I also periodically have others write topic related posts for my, allowing the author to link back to their own related site. This gives me more unique content and they get a relevant backlink to their site. Win-win.

So you can work and make money in your spare time working up to a full time blogging career or what ever level you wish. I personally went for the full time income and work from home full time. I did quit my day job.

How Bing Affects Article Marketing

Image representing Bing as depicted in CrunchBase

Microsoft’s Bing can be likened to the Google search engine, although it is not being marketed as such.   Rather than being a ‘search engine’, Microsoft calls it a ‘decision engine’.  For example, Bing’s user interface can provide the user with more accurate and pertinent data with less effort, which is something that Google sometimes fails to do.

If you wish to build further backlinks through article marketing, how do you achieve the best results using Bing’s engine?  What does Bing have over its biggest and most prominent rival, Google Search?

The Bing engine does a better job in terms of presenting relevant results and detailed information to Internet users who employ it, in comparison to Google.   Some may argue that this only seems so because of the new user interface.  Bing typically displays the information that one can access with Google Search with more depth, even without going directly to the page the info is on.  Placing the mouse cursor over a search result causes the ‘expanded’ display of the information snippet.  If the information contains associated meta-data, moving the cursor over the primary information will display this as well.

The new search engine may cause some people to consider revamping their article marketing endeavors, yet the tried-and-tested rules still apply.  An edge over your competitors may be achieved much like before: by writing high-quality content, incorporating the relevant keywords, and disseminating your content through article directories – making sure that you also create an accessible and compelling author bio or resource box.

The more detailed data that can be seen through Bing’s search results may equate to more convenient access to the desired information for any visitors.  Of course, as the search engine evolves, it remains to be seen if a website owner needs to tweak his or her article marketing efforts to a greater degree, for purposes of gaining more website traffic.  Despite the popularity of Google Search, you can gain traffic with Bing, as it promotes the information contained in your articles much better than Google.

There is no need to overhaul your article marketing strategies entirely, if you wish to cater to Internet users who utilize Bing.  Bing is one of the best innovations in search engine technology, and simply using an article writing service while new developments come along will serve you and your website well enough.

Copertina di Business Week: "Blogs will c...

The main business advantage of article marketing is that it represents one of the cheapest forms of advertising for so many companies that depend on low budgets. With article marketing you author or outsource a number of articles that are related to your business.

The topic for each article should be a very relevant keyword that describes your domain of activity, product or service. Web users type keywords in search engine boxes to find the information they need. Web content get visitors to a certain web site, which enhances the business opportunities for the web developer.

Article marketing would different without the information provided in the resource box. Include an anchor text link or a regular URL in this box and readers will be able to navigate to your site. There are a few steps to go through in order to enjoy real article marketing success.

1.The identification of keywords.
2.Write or outsource the articles.
3.Creating article versions to submit them as unique variants of the original.
4.Use article submission services and web directories to spread the word and publish the articles.

Backlinks are the most important asset that results from article marketing. The exposure of a company mainly depends on the way you feed quality informative content to the search engines because Internet can’t function without content.

The most advantageous of links are those that incorporate anchor text and they refer back to your web page from web sites with a very good page ranking. If you succeed in creating backlinks from such sites that Google rates as noteworthy, then, you are in for good business. Yet, other links can be profitable too. Regular links have a single downside: they generate less traffic.

Experts say that the kind of backlinks you get, depends on the article marketing strategies you implement. It is then a good idea to look well into this issue of advertising through articles in order to constantly enhance your business status online. Once you find out which article directories are most relevant for your needs, opening more business doors, then you’ll start to see things a lot more clearly. Good luck.

Making money blogging is such a hot prospect these days and for those who’ve made such prospect into reality, they’ve only got good things to say. But aside from telling the world how possible making money from blogs is, they also usually say they’re beholden to search engines.

For example, Google, which is currently the world’s most powerful Internet search engine there is, started out as a site where people could type in a line or a word or to pertaining to the topic they want to research on. In just seconds, the engine goes through its millions of web pages and serves the user with the best ones that its search spiders have picked out based on the words entered by the searcher into the search box.

If you’re considering making money with blogs, Google is something you should master, particularly the ways it indexes pages. If you want your blog to earn you more money, you’ve got to make it perform well on Google Search Engine Ranking Pages or SERPs. Of course, if you want your blog to gain profit, you have to make it visible on the web where it’s supposed to thrive.

There can be many other ways to achieve this visibility but it can’t be denied that Google can be the most powerful because it can actually promote your blog to all Internet users. Definitely, you’re going to need that if you’re going to get the cash rolling in.

As a problogger or professional blogger-to-be, you need to educate yourself on the rules that the search giant goes by when ranking web pages.

First off, you need keywords. Keywords are used by the search spiders to detect what a site or page is all about. When you don’t use keywords or don’t use them consistently, there’s a tendency for these spiders to be confused. But when a page has keywords consistently used and spaced reasonably within the content, search spiders have a very easy way of indexing the page when an Internet user searches for a topic relevant to such keywords.

This is why some pages make it to the first page of SERPs and some simply don’t. In other words, keywords play a major role in determining your moneymaking blog’s success. Of course, these keywords have to be arranged within your blog in a way that makes sense.

Spiders have become more intelligent these days and they know when such keywords are meant only for SEO purposes and not for giving sincere information to readers. This is why you also need to maintain good quality posts. And you definitely need to update your blog often because spiders also know how to detect fresh blogs which are always, of course, what readers want.

So if you want to make money blogging, make your blog search engine-friendly. How to blog may be the first question you’ll ask when you’re in the planning stage of developing a blog but the more significant challenge lies in how to make your blog worthy enough of earning money through your readers’ loyalty as keep publishing posts.
